Hailing from Waterford, MI and a father to three, Mat Hall is a seasoned marksman renowned for his precision and tactical prowess in the realm of competitive shooting. With a master ranking in the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA), a master ranking in Steel Challenge, and a grand master ranking in the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA). He has cemented his
reputation as a formidable force on the national shooting circuit.

Mat discovered his passion for firearms just over 2 years ago. He has been honing his skills through dedicated practice and unwavering determination. His journey in competitive shooting began after his first major match in Saline, Michigan at the Tri County Sportsman’s Challenge in 2022. Mat placed 4th overall at this match and that marked his relentless pursuit of excellence, and a commitment to pushing
the boundaries of his craft.

Known for his cool under pressure and strategic approach to every stage, Mat exemplifies the true spirit of defensive pistol shooting. Whether navigating through complex courses or engaging in precision drills, he exhibits a blend of speed, accuracy, and tactical ingenuity that sets him apart on the range.

Off the firing line, Mat is a respected ambassador for all shooting disciplines, advocating for safety in his roles as a certified range officer, safety officer, and match director. He is a true sportsman showing inclusivity within the community. He actively mentors aspiring shooters, sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience to inspire the next generation of competitive shooters.
